What We Do

Voiceless Orphan Taskforce Uganda (VOTU) is a fully registered organization by Non Government Organization (NGO Board) under number; 5914/5211. It’s located at Ngando Sub-County Butambala County, Mpigi District, 75 Kms from Kampala.what we do at votu Our major aim is to look after orphans and vulnerable children who come by as a result of AIDS, Wars and major accidents etc. There are numerous orphans and other extremely needy children (some homeless or supervised by fellow older children in Ngando sub-county, as elsewhere in Uganda. Voiceless Orphan Taskforce Uganda (VOTU) seeks to address their plight by giving them quality primary education, finding educational sponsorship and life-support. VOTU also wishes to expand her counseling and palliative care activities for persons living with HIV/AIDS. As a thematic group, we specialize in dealing with orphans aged between 05 to 18 years. We provide the basic needs of these orphans through;

  1. Paying school fees and provision of other scholastic materials
  2. Sensitization and mobilization of community about Education, rights of children, water and sanitation, and other developmental subjects.
  3. with the government provision of health centers to each sub county, we provide the services of counseling to people suffering from HIV/AIDS, stigma, Oppression, drug abuse and family conflicts in line with OVC;s (Orphans and Vulnerable Children).
  4. We solicit for funding to help us contribute to the development of orphans livelihood and community.
  5. VOTU looks for gifts like clothes, dolls, books, pens, games equipments, musical instruments etc to give to orphans according to the age groups.
  6. Last but not least we look for daddies and mummies to take up some of the willing orphans as their foster parents. Please note, Here we follow strictly the laws of Uganda concerning child adoption.
